About CeTA

Audiovisual Technology Center (Centrum Technologii Audiowizualnych CeTA) in Wrocław is a public institution and  the heir of the rich legacy of Wrocław Feature Film Studio (1954-2011). In the centre we pursue generative activities in the area of cinematography, television, the Internet, education and culture using available electronic and multimedia technologies. Our willingness to share knowledge and experience motivates us to initiate educational projects as well as create and promote the newest multimedia technologies.

Audiovisual Technology Center covers over 8500 sq.m. of comprehensive infrastructure enabling  professional production of films and organisation of unusual cultural and artistic events. The building of the former Film Studio together with the recording studio, the cinema, the rich collection of costumes and two stages  (we have the largest universal greenbox in Poland with the surface of 330 sq.m.) forms a unique setting for these kinds of initiatives.

Audiovisual Technology Center is a meeting and integration place for the filmmaker, television and multimedia society. The institution cooperates with many partners, both local and nation-wide.

Audiovisual Technology Center organizes events that spread culture and film art, making them more accessible for the audience and nurturing an interest in these fields. Presentations that have been held here include events devoted to the culture of specific countries, like the Japanese Evening and the Indian Evening with the Indian Film Festival.
The institution is also a partner of cultural events, such as the Lower Silesia Film Acting Festival, the Dialog International Theatre Festival, the Musica Polonica Nova polish modern music festival, the „Kręci Cię Wrocław? Kręć Wrocław” contest, the „Wrocław Miasto Spotkań” Polish Film Contest, or the Polish Children’s’ Animated Film Festival „halo-echo”, among others.

Audiovisual Technology Center is also economically active in estate leasing and rental, advertising and promotion, organizing coaching, courses and workshops, as well as  exhibitions and conferences. The income gained from such activities is used to fulfill institution’s statute activities.
